The Schoharie County Community Foundation Fund was established with the Community Foundation of Otsego County to support nonprofit 501(c)3 organizations that are located in or serve residents of Schoharie County. The goal of the fund is to help existing nonprofits improve their services for the betterment of Schoharie County residents. Our preference is to support organizations that benefit the underserved and/or provide essential services. The maximum grant award is $3,000.
Grant Criteria
- Your nonprofit must be located in Schoharie County or provide substantial services to Schoharie County residents.
- Grants will be given for:
- Expansion of services
- Project support
- Software purchases directly related to improving financial management capacity, including the ability to accept online donations
- Priority will be given to projects that help the disadvantaged.
What We Do Not Fund
- Capital projects
- Operational/administrative support
- Legal fees
- Grant-writing
- Fundraising activities
- Grant-making enterprises
Award Details
- Awards may be requested up to $3,000.
- Deadline for applications is October 15, 2025.
- A final report is required within 30 days of completion of the project.
- Completion of a needs-analysis survey is also required. Access to the survey will be provided once the grant is awarded.
