CFOC Announces Two Grant Cycles
CFOC has opneed two of its annual grant cycles. The Advocates for Springfield Fund is offering awards up to $500. Click here for details. The deadline is May 15. This month, the CFOC Nonprofit Spotlight features the Unadilla Community Farm Education Center. Transformed from an abandoned corn field, the Unadilla Community Farm Education Center was originally founded by a group of friends as an agricultural cooperative space for learning to grow their own organic produce, utilize natural building methods, make their own household products, and live off-grid in a solar powered community. CFOC Welcomes the Martha and Paul Clarvoe Recycling Initiatives Fund!
Hartwick residents Martha and Paul Clarvoe have joined with the Community Foundation of Otsego County to establish a new fund that will support recycling efforts throughout Otsego County. The Clarvoes, who have lived in Hartwick since 1980, are long-time advocates for environmental issues, including the importance of recycling. CFOC Brings Otsego Arts Organizations Together
The Community Foundation of Otsego County is granting $100,000 to local arts organizations this Spring. Arts organizations gathered March 7 at a breakfast hosted by CFOC to talk about big ideas for the arts in Otsego County and what they need to thrive.
