At the invitation of the Community Foundation of Otsego County, representatives from Otsego County history related groups (historical societies, museums) gathered to help CFOC develop criteria for its Spring Awards Cycle. CFOC will open the award round by April 1, with $100,000 dedicated to civics education, historic preservation, and community service projects related to America 250, with special consideration given to projects focused on celebrating America 250.

As has been done in the past few years, CFOC has convened experts in the field to provide insight and knowledge into creating robust and effective criteria for our awards cycle. Going right to the source of expertise is critical to making sure CFOC is most impactful and relevant. Most grantors decide internally how best to serve their nonprofits. At CFOC, we bring our partners in to tell us what works best.
It was a fun and enlightening gathering, with ideas shared, relationships built, and communities connected.
Stay tuned for the announcement of the Spring cycle going live!
