Nearly three-quarters of a century ago, Dr. E.C. Winsor established a fund to help children in the Worcester area dealing with ear, eye, nose, and throat issues. Recently, the trustees of that fund came to CFOC for help. Could we help find those children that might benefit from Dr. Winsor’s philanthropic vision?
From that discussion, we created the Dr. E.C. Winsor Memorial Fund at CFOC.
The Fund provides financial assistance for equipment, including eyeglasses and hearing aids, medical care including prescriptions, and other similar services and products. Recipients must be children under the age of 18 who reside in Otsego County.
Grants will be disbursed through 501(c)(3) nonprofit health organizations with programs – existing and new – addressing hearing, sight, and throat ailments. Applicants may be school districts that have school-based health programs.
The Winsor Fund will award a total of up to $2,600 in 2025, with each award per child not exceeding $500.
